Founded by the Sarmiento Brothers, Vitarich Corporation – which was initially known as Phil-American Milling Co. – was established to help the country’s livestock industry.

The company invested in several advancements that bring forth the largest, most modern and fully equipped feed plant in the country at the time.

From here, Vitarich continued to grow and started venturing poultry business.

Dressing Plant Facilities were built.

Three feed milling plants in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao received a Grand Slam Certification from ISO Feed Safety and HACCP.

In this year as well, Captain V was officially introduced to the public as Vitarich’s official mascot.

Vitarich successfully completed its supposed 15-year corporate rehabilitation and converted its P2.38 billion debt into equity.

Mr. Rogelio Sarmiento relinquished his position of President and CEO to Mr. Ricardo Manuel Sarmiento on July 1, 2016.

Lifetime Profitable Partnership, or LPP, was also launched with an aim of building relationships and growing business supported by the company’s core values.

Inaugurated a new feed mill in Davao and automated its feeds mills in Iloilo.
